Her Brutalist Beauty

I’ve always been fascinated by Brutalism, even when I didn’t like it, I couldn’t ignore it.

The Barbican Centre has become a place that changed how I see it. This series explores the relationship between light, space and texture within one of London’s most iconic examples of Brutalist architecture.

The Barbican reveals its beauty slowly, through rhythm, contrast and quiet details.

With each frame, I isolate fragments of the complex, playing with shadows, geometries and framed perspectives.

The goal is not simply to document the place, but to suggest a sense of presence and connection, to show how even the harshest concrete forms can feel soft, thoughtful and oddly poetic.
